football-fixture-gibEUROPA Point FC and Lions Gibraltar FC will battle it out to try win a much-needed point at the Victoria Stadium as the Premier league returns from the Christmas break.

And it will be the two teams currently sitting joint bottom of the league who will go head to head in the first game of 2017 on January 6 at 8.30pm.

At the moment, both only have four points, with Lions yet to win a match.

Current league-toppers Europa FC, who have 31 points and won 10 out of their 11 games, will take to the pitch the following day at 8.30pm.

There they will face seventh place Manchester 62.

Second place Lincoln Red Imps will play earlier in the day at 4pm against Glacis Utd in fourth place.

Gibraltar Utd and Mons Calpe SC, who lie 10 points apart, will round up the weekend’s football binge with their game on Sunday at 6.30pm.
