ANGER: Spanish vessel enters British waters again

A SPANISH ship has been chased away from Gibraltarian waters again.

This time, Infanta Cristina was guided away by Royal Navy boat HMS Scimitar.

The incursion lasted minutes off the south-east coast of Gibraltar.

It comes after a similar incident which sparked a row between the Rock and Spain at the beginning of the month.

A UK Government spokesperson said: “The Royal Navy challenges all unlawful maritime incursions into British Gibraltar Territorial Waters and did so again on this occasion.”

A spokesman for Spain’s foreign ministry refuted the claim by Gibraltar that it was an illegal incursion, stating that the ship was merely using Spain’s waters.
