LEGENDARY Sex Pistol Glen Matlock will perform at an intimate acoustic show on the Rock on August 30.
It’s a world away from the heydays of the punk rock band, and during the August 30 event which forms part of Gibraltar music week, the original bass player will recount his rock-n-roll tales with local musician Gavin Garcia supporting.
Matlock’s four-year decade has performed alongside the Philistines, Iggy Pop and Midge Ure, former Rich Kids member.
His songwriting portfolio along with the Sex Pistols songs he co-wrote are ‘Pretty Vacant’ and ‘God Save the Queen’ and ‘No More Heroes.
Gibraltarian-born Gavin Garcia has been part of many local Gibraltar bands where he has played a range of genres, from metal and rock to pop and acoustic. As his interest in pursuing a music career intensified, he moved to London and began to write his own material.
Tickets are strictly limited to 200, are priced at only £10 and are available now at www.gibraltarmusicweek.com
