Yes, it’s almost time for Gibraltar’s annual Gay Pride event, which will coincide with London and Dublin’s.

The two-day celebration will include a Great Gatsby dinner and dance, a musical theatre performance by Phillip Borge on Friday June 23 and an Elton John tribute act on Saturday.

Each event includes a three-course meal prepared by Head Chef Matt Birtwistle.

Gay Pride is a movement against discrimination and violence toward lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people.

June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which took place in New York at the end of June 1969 as a result of discrimination towards the LGBT community.

Ever since the first anniversary of the riots, Gay Pride marches have taken place annually all over the world.
