THE Ministry for Housing attended a conference discussing the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
Featured heavily on the agenda were talks on procedures followed by the UK to identify potential fire risks in other blocks.
Minister for Housing Samantha Sacramento said it was important for officials to attend conferences like these, as it ‘helps continuous professional development of officials and as result helps them develop better policies.’
The conference in Manchester was opened by Ms Terrie Alafat, Chief Executive of the CIH.
Organised by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), it is the largest of its kind in Europe.
