Second man charged with New Harbours Robbery

He will appear before the magistrates' court tomorrow morning

Gibraltar-Supreme-Court-300x169ANOTHER man has been charged in connection with the £1.5 New Harbours robbery.

Samir Douaoui, 27, who was on police bail, was recalled today and charged with robbery and possession of a firearm.

He had previously been arrested and released in connection with the June 21 robbery, but is now remains in police custody.

He will appear before the magistrates’ court tomorrow morning.

It comes after Rachid Behdraoui, a 51-year-old Moroccan was charged in connection with the robbery and for possessing a firearm.

Police are still investigating the incident, saying that ‘all lines of enquiry remain open.’
