Those in school years 4-7 have been invited to take part in Saturday’s variety of unique sporting challenges and competitions.
Children taking part are to register through their respective schools and then meet at 9am at John Mackintosh Square.
The Mayor Kaiane Aldorino Lopez is expected to give a short address to participants before they are led on a parade to Victoria Stadium.
In addition to the sporting activities there will be entertainment provided by Danza Academy, a Radio Gibraltar road show and music from DJ Alan Arnold.
A display from the RGP Dog Section will keep animal lovers happy and there will also be boat rides onboard RGP and HM Customs vessels.
The day’s proceedings will be brought to a close with a Gibraltar v Royal Gibraltar Police football match at the Victoria Stadium.
The day will be run by the Royal Gibraltar Police with assistance from local sporting associations, under their premise of ‘Live Life, Love Sport’.
Proceeds of the event will be combined with money raised at last Saturday’s RGP Cycling Marathon to be distributed amongst the GBC open day and local charities by the RGP Charity Committee.
