A LONDONER has developed an app that offers a cheap alternative for holidaymakers in Spain by sharing their properties online.

HolidaySwap, aimed at 20 to 30-year-olds, is different to Timeshare and AirBnB because it immediately puts two property owners in touch using a dating app format.

Creator James Asquith, 28, says people build up their profiles using photos of the property they want to share and describes the app as a ‘halfway house between Tinder and AirBnB’, allowing users to construct their profiles using their properties.

“We’re calling on people who use social media to promote their properties,” he said.

“In Gibraltar anywhere is good because the whole place is so pretty.”

It is available to download now for free on the Apple app store and will be available on Android in two weeks.
