FORMER chief minister Joe Bossano has made it onto the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List.

The 78-year-old has been appointed as a Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George for Services to Gibraltar.

As a former trade unionist, Member of the House of Assembly and Parliament, Leader of the Opposition, Chief Minister and now Father of the House and Minister for Economic Development, Joe Bossano has dedicated his professional life to serving the Rock.

The government said it is ‘delighted’ by the news.
