Chestertons Gibraltar has been announced as a major sponsor for the 2019 NatWest Island Games.
The real estate firm told the press they were proud to support the Games, which will take place on the Rock between July 6 to 12, 2019.
It will be the second time that Gibraltar has hosted the competition.
“When we were asked to become a sponsor of the Games, we did not hesitate,” said Mike Nicholls, managing director of Chestertons.
“Giving back to the community from which we earn our money can only be a good thing and I urge other companies, of any size, to join us in making this event an outstanding success for our athletes who are already training hard and for Gibraltar as a successful host of international events.”
2,500 athletes will descend on the Rock from 24 islands to compete in 14 different sports.
The government has appealed for sponsorship to assist in covering the costs of accommodating visiting athletes and officials and constructing sports facilities.
