THE HMS Duncan will be arriving in Gibraltar tomorrow following a successful seven month deployment.
In the past the Royal Navy type 45 destroyer ship played a pivotal role alongside the US in conducted strikes against ISIS. As well as this, the Ministry of Defence dispatched HMS Duncan to intercept Russian Navy vessels passing through the English Channel on their way to Syria.
She has been taking part in a number of operations and security patrols in Southern European waters and will dock at HMNB in Gibraltar for a routine engagement visit.
The 500 ft ship is permanently available to NATO to help perform a wide range of tasks.
Following her visit to Gibraltar she will return home to Portsmouth before being deployed for future overseas operations.
