THE Self Determination Group of Gibraltar have announced the events for the Gibraltar National Day on September 10.
Casemates Square will start the celebrations with live music and performances – with Mayor Kaiane Aldorino Lopez hosting the proceedings.
Starting at 9.30am, celebrations will last until 10.30pm with a twinning ceremony with Jamaica, DJ music, an aerial display and finishing off with a spectacular firework display at Detached Mole.

9.30am to 11.30am – Live Music and Performances at Casemates Square
10am – Children’s Fancy Dress at Piazza
11.40am – Twinning Ceremony between Gibraltar and Jamaica at Casemates Square
12 noon – Freedom of the City Ceremony of Sir Joe Bossano at Casemates Square
12.20pm – Political Rally at Casemates Square
1.10pm to 3pm – DJ Music at Casemates Square
1.30pm to 7pm – Fun for Kids at John Mackintosh Square
1.30pm onwards – Popular Live Music and Family Fun Activities at Kings’ Bastion Leisure Centre
2pm onwards – Live Music at the Rock on the Rock Club
2pm to 10pm – Live Music and DJ’s for Over 17’s at the Bayside Sports Complex
2.30pm – Aerial Display at Eastern Beach
2.30pm to 7pm – Jazz Friends at Governor’s Parade
3.30pm – Aerial Display at Rosia Bay
9pm to 12.30am – Rock Concert at Casemates Square
10.30pm – Fireworks Display at Detached Mole
100 seats will be available for the elderly and for persons with mobility issues. They must be blue badge holders to secure a seat, contact Gibraltar Cultural Services directly on telephone 20067236 before the 28th August 2018 for reservations. The seats are on a first-come first-served basis.
